I was a beauty professional turned product distributor → vocational educator → regional school director.

No MBA (yet). No corporate pedigree.

So when I finally did step into corporate? I brought entrepreneurial rocket fuel with me.

I didn’t climb ladders — I skipped rungs.
I negotiated a 177% salary increase in just 3 years.
I said no to the pizza party perks and 3% raises.

The Money Was Good. But the Ache Was Growing.

I became “the go-to.”

The one who led.
The one who delivered.
The one who outperformed — every quarter, every crisis.

Senior leadership called me:

But the more I achieved, the less I felt connected to the work.

I had the title.

I held leadership roles with no real power.

I wasn’t broken.
